Manor and Park Group Practice

Patient Notice

Extra Covid Vaccination Clinics Means Changes to the GP Services at Manor and Park Group Practice.

Following the announcement from the Government that every eligible Patient is to be offered a booster vaccination before 31st December, we at Manor Park have been asked to increase vaccine capacity and redeploy Surgery staff to allow for this to happen.

This will unfortunately mean that some routine and none-urgent GP and Nurse appointments within the surgery will have to be deferred until mid-January.

We did not want to have to do this but given the extremely short deadline for this vaccine programme we have no alternative options available to us.

We apologise sincerely if you do receive a notification from us that your appointment has had to be rearranged. It has been a very difficult decision to make but due to the government's decision to "priorities booster vaccines" we have had very little choice.

We therefore politely request that you do try to understand that this was not a decision that we wanted to make and our staff have had no real choice in the matter. The GPs, Clinical Staff, Nurses, Reception Team and Management Team who are currently working in Surgery will also be the same staff running the vaccination clinics too.

We are still here for you, but unfortunately it will be in a slightly different way until the 4th January.

Please continue to phone us on 0114 272 7768 (We know that the phones are extremely busy, but we will answer as soon as we can) phone lines are less busy between 10.30am and 11.30pm and from 4pm -6pm

You can still enter the Surgery buildings to enquire about appointments, collect documents such as sick notes, prescriptions and drop off any samples.

We ARE NOT closing we are having to run two very important services with just one team.

Many thanks for your support and understanding

Below are the opening times of both Surgery buildings up to and including 31st December

Feedback from the Covid-19 vaccination clinic at Manor Site:

Received 12th January 2021

"Dear Team,

I would like to commend and thank you for the very speedy roll out of the COVID vaccine to the over 80s and extremely clinically vulnerable patients at your practice and beyond.

My mother who falls into both these categories has had both her jabs which is a great relief for her and her family. Although we will still be observing all the lockdown restrictions it is very reassuring that my mum has now been vaccinated.

Well done to all the staff who have worked extremely hard to ensure the roll out in your catchment area has been and continues to be successful.

Many thanks once again "

Received 18th February 2021

"would like to say a great big “thank you” and tell you how impressed I am with how the surgery are coping and caring for it’s patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I came for my vaccination yesterday and was blown away at how efficient and effective the system in place for administering the vaccinations actually is - I don’t know what I was expecting but was very impressed with what I encountered.

I am also extremely grateful for and impressed with the unerring ongoing support and care I continue to receive from the whole team during these very difficult times we find ourselves in.

Thank you and take care everyone.

Kind regards."
